Talk so I can see you!

Saturday, March 11, 2006

That’s what my boss once said to me, “Talk so I can see you!”

What if I don’t want you to see me?! What if I don’t want you to know my inner self?!

Would that be a reason why I don’t talk?! Because I don’t want people to see me?! If it’s so, then why? What’s the problem in people getting to know the real me?! Why do I always hide her?! Replace her by another dump naïve one. Why do I always think that I don’t understand, though I do. Why do I feel insecure if I talked. Why do I find it always difficult to turn my thoughts into spoken words?!

Why am I the person I am?! Am I a good one?! Am I a bad one?!

Answers I want to know either :-)
from your own words, u r hiding the real u and don't want to let her out... the good news is, no matter how hard we try to conceal certain things, the real personality eventually shines through.
if u think u r giving people a negative image which I am sure u r not, but at least u know better or can act better, u owe yourself this one. u know u r smart and u have to show it not to ur boss… to yourself, once u work on it and see it's effect and how impressed people can be just because u r talking, u won't be able to give it up again.
U have to talk, people are too busy to think what's inside u, don't let a room for misunderstanding.
Umm.. may be I hide her because she is not welcomed.

Whenever I let her out, people get surprised.. she is not the person we know. Unfortunately, they think that she is the new one, and they ask me to have the old me back!!

A continous struggle between the two of us.

The real me never comes out except for those who seek to know her.

Well, I do not have much to say but "You are what you think you are"

Can you tell me more about the "Two of us" term, i.e. being yourself and her.
I disagree with "You are what you think you are". If I think of myself as a genius, this shouldn't necessarily mean that I am. If I think of myself as a dumb person, still this might not be true.

What do you think?

Firstly, Nice approach though it was not my point of view
I meant how you think determines how you act and behave, i.e. Thinking of yourself as a X person and consequently you act that way and in turn others react to you as a X person.. Thinking does make it so, as others see in us what we see in ourselves, It is like a mirror.

I disagree with "You are what you think you are". If I think of myself as a genius, this shouldn't necessarily mean that I am. If I think of myself as a dumb person, still this might not be true.

In this case, It has nothing to do with the real you as you will act the way you think of yourself at this moment regardless of what your qualifications might be - being someone else - therefore Others will treat you that way, meanwhile you will lose your credibility, integrity, peace witin, ...etc (even though others might not know the real you). "be keda al wa7d beykon beyd7ak 3ala nafso 2abl mayet7ak 3ala 3'ero, i.e. blindsight Him/Herself just before others"

The question remains, who the real you is!! and how you want others to see you..!

If only I could know!
