Free Open Source Software and Development Conference
Tuesday, March 15, 2005
Yesterday I attended the Free Open Source Software and Development Conference which was organized with the cooperation of Egyptian GNU/Linux Users Group.
I was amazed to find them a group of young people who are enthusiastic about something, they believed in it and from their belief they got the energy to start and build up that community.
I won’t be talking much about the idea of free source, you would find all the information you want on their website.
But what I’m interested to tell you about is Wiki.. Ever heard about it?!
Well.. It was the first time for me to hear that term yesterday.. A Wiki is a hypertext or is a website (or other hypertext document collection) that allows users to add content, as on an Internet forum, but also allows anyone to edit the content. You would simply press and edit button on the end of each page and edit whatever you think should be edited, or add another information.
If you would like to have a look on such websites, check wikipedia.
